Musicians Jerry Garcia - electric guitar, vocals Bill Vitt - drums John Kahn - electric bass Martin Fierro - saxophone, flute Merl Saunders - keyboards

Set 1: After Midnight , Expressway (To Your Heart) > Jam > Merl's Tune [1] , Someday Baby , I Second That Emotion Partial Set 2: Mystery Train , My Funny Valentine [1] Final known performance

This was advertised as OAITW, but Rex & Betty's tapes with this date are clearly JGMS. The 11/2/73 KG listing suggests there was a last minute change. As of June 2020, we list this as Bill Vitt's last JGMS gig. This is not certain. We know Kreutzmann played the next show (11/5) and was regular from January through September 1974. We are interpolating to reach this result. Same goes for Martin - he shows up here and is basically present until the demise of the Legion of Mary in mid-1975.

My Funny Valentine is in fact the last tune of the show, followed by Garcia saying. "Well, it's closin' time in Berkeley, everybody. Thanks a lot for comin' by and all that." Due to the tape cuts it is possible the music is missing from before Mystery Train?
