Knockout Productions was able to violate the standard contract by billing "The Jerry Garcia Band featuring The Grateful Dead's Jerry Garcia". LAT listing and ad only show first show. Second show announced in a ribbon in the SB paper - "by popular demand". Billings are interesting: John Kahn ("Formerly with Mike Bloomfield Band"), Melvin Seals ("Formerly with Elvin Bishop Band"), Greg Errico ("Formerly w/ Santana"), DeeDee Dickerson & Jachalyn [sic] LaBranch. recollex: was to be one show and the day before they added a late show. The early show was only one set, so no one would leave, kind of a peaceful protest scene. That lasted for an hour or so. The Arlington agreed if we all went to the lobby/courtyard, after they let the folks in for the second show, they would open the doors until the place was full.
