- 2nd and 3rd shows in a week. Looking back, I would've taken just a little more notice if I'd realized that I'd never see the band in a hall this small again! The band was really into their hi-fi amps and axes. The playing reflected this from the previous year; playing everything really concise, clearly (you could even say prissy at times), and everything "just exactly perfect". Things were VERY in tune, and lots of shimmering crescendos. Got some beautiful shows, but generally had this feeling that they were really perfecting their craft, and at some future date they'd "let it all hang out" again and get back to crazy outside space and drums. Sometimes ya just had to call for "What's Become Of The Baby?" and hope.
